The Balance Center is in network with all the Blue Cross Blue Shield insurances and Medicare.  For all other insurances, payment is due at the time of service.  You will be provided with a superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  

No. Virginia law allows patients to be seen without a prescription by physical therapists who have Direct Access Certification. Teri Deal has received Direct Access Certification from the state of Virginia.

Yes, a copy of the initial assessment findings and monthly re-assessments can be sent to your physician. In addition, your physical therapist will communicate with your physician regarding any concerns as well as possibly request x-ray or medical test results which may be beneficial in treating your problem.

You should wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and that allows your therapist to easily view movement of your arms, legs and back. 

Telehealth Physical Therapy: regulations require that your physical therapist hold licensure in the state in which you are receiving virtual PT.  We are licensed to treat patients who are in Virginia and Colorado. 

In-Person Physical Therapy:  Regardless of where you reside, anyone may receive PT at our McLean VA clinic. 

Yes! Our software platform (interestingly called JaneApp) provides peer-to-peer audiovisual communication. This means that all the traffic flows directly between each user’s web browser and completely bypasses Jane's servers. The traffic is also encrypted in transit and none of the data is stored anywhere at any time.
